Mattress Breakdown

Odor:
Excellent
With the Nolah AirFoam, there is no detectable odor. Though the mattress will still need to off-gas as it expands, you will be pleased not to smell that slightly unpleasant “new mattress” smell.
Durability:
Excellent
The lifetime warranty offered with all Nolah mattresses certainly helps the customer feel secure in the durability of the Evolution mattress. Typically with coils, like in the hybrid Evolution mattress, you can expect a little more sag over time. However, Nolah AirFoam is extremely durable. After rigorous testing, the Nolah mattress only lost .03” after 100,000 testing cycles. This hybrid mattress will not be sagging on you anytime soon!
Temperature:
Excellent
The Nolah AirFoam comes into play again here by keeping you cool while you sleep. This foam is different from traditional memory foam, which traps heat and can cause some sleepers to get sweaty. In contrast, Nolah AirFoam is made with CertiPUR-US certified foams which do not react with body heat, which amounts to a cooler night’s sleep.
Sex:
Great
Couples generally want a “bouncy” feel in the bedroom to support sexual activity. With a hybrid mattress, like the Evolution, there is a layer of coils. This will lend the couple a little more bounce and support in the bedroom.
Conforming:
Good
This mattress will not feel like a stereotypical memory foam bed, which is sometimes described as sleeping on a cloud. This is because of the Nolah AirFoam in combination with the layer of springs. While there will be no pressure on your joints due to the foam, you will not experience the “cloud” like feeling, nor will you sink into this mattress.
Edge Support:
Excellent
The Evolution mattress has an 8-inch layer of patented tri-zoned support coils which are wrapped in their proprietary Edge-Tech™ support foam. This supportive foam around the coils helps with strengthening the edge of the mattress, so you will not be slipping off any saggy sides.
Noise:
Good
One of the downsides of a hybrid mattress is the squeak that comes with coils. However, again, thanks to the cushioning Edge-Tech foam around the coils, the sound will be much less noticeable. You certainly will not be waking up every time you move due to an unpleasant squeak - the foam will dampen and help to absorb any squeaking caused by the coils.
Motion Isolation:
Great
Because this is not a full foam bed, it is not completely devoid of motion. However, many couples seem to sleep wonderfully on this bed. The many layers of supportive foam, plus the foam wrapped around the coils really help with motion. You will not be able to feel your partner getting in or out of bed thanks to the many layers of plush foam.

How does the Nolah mattress feel?

You may expect an innerspring mattress to be too firm due to the coils, but with a hybrid mattress, you get the best of both worlds—conforming foam and supportive coils.
