Mattress Breakdown

Odor:
Excellent
Because of Nolah’s innovative AirFoam™, there will be no detectable odor. Though the mattress will still off-gas as it expands, you will not likely smell any unpleasant chemical scent.
Durability:
Excellent
Nolah offers a lifetime warranty with all of their mattresses, which should make you feel very secure in your purchase; Nolah AirFoam™ is extremely durable. In fact, after rigorous testing, the Nolah mattress only lost .03 inches after 100,000 testing cycles. Thanks to the durable AirFoam™, your mattress will not be sagging anytime soon!
Temperature:
Excellent
The Nolah AirFoam™ comes into play again here by keeping you cool while you sleep. This is different from traditional memory foam, which traps heat and can cause some sleepers to get sweaty. In contrast, this is made with CertiPUR-US certified foams which do not react as much with body heat, therefore leading to a cooler night's sleep.
Sex:
Average
While couples typically desire more bounce in the bedroom, foam mattresses do not have that sort of give, so the Nolah Original and Signature may not support sexual activity as much as you want. If you and your partner are wanting more bounce, the Nolah Evolution may be the right choice for you; the layer of support coils give you that traditional bouncy feeling.
Conforming:
Great
Nolah’s two foam mattresses, the Original and the Signature, both have a thick layer of Nolah AirFoam™ to cradle all your pressure points throughout the night. The Original is has a medium firmness so you will get support without too much “sinking in,” but the AirFoam™ will conform to your body shape and relieve joint and back pain. The Signature is a unique mattress because it is reversible. While one side is a medium-soft mattress, the other is a medium-firm. This unique aspect of the Signature mattress makes it good for any type of sleeper; the medium-soft side is better for side sleepers and will cradle and comfort your pressure points, and the medium-firm side is better for back and stomach sleepers and will be more supportive for your spine rather than conforming.
Edge Support:
Great
Both the Original and Signature have a layer of supportive base foam, so they are better than most foam beds when it comes to edge support. Their foam is so durable, that again, it is warrantied for life! This support carries out to the edges of the mattress so that you will not experience saggy edges.
Noise:
Excellent
Being fully made of foam, you will not hear any type of sound coming from either the Original or the Signature. The Nolah AirFoam™ conforms around the body, and because there are no coils you will not have the notorious mattress squeak. Say goodbye to a noisy mattress that wakes you up with every turn.
Motion Isolation:
Excellent
The Nolah AirFoam™ comes into play again here. Of course, we will turn throughout the night, our partners may get in or out of bed while we are still in bed, but the AirFoam™ completely absorbs that movement. With these mattresses, especially the softer side of the Signature, it is like you are in your own personal cloud and not able to feel the movement from your partner’s cloud due to the conforming nature of the AirFoam™.

How does the Nolah mattress feel?

Nolah Original:
The Original is a nice medium-firmness; about a 5-6 on a 10 point scale. This not-too-soft, not-too-hard mattress is ideal for all sleeper types, and it cushions pressure points while supporting your joints and spine.

Nolah Signature:
The Signature has the unique benefit of being reversible. One side is a medium-soft, about a 4-5; this cushy plush side is ideal for side sleepers. The other side is a medium-firm, about a 7-8; the more firm and supportive side is ideal for back or stomach sleepers.
